SunExpress, a joint venture between
Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, continues to take delivery of new aircraft as
part of its growth and fleet modernization plans. The airline added four more
Boeing 737-8 aircraft to its fleet in January.
The aircraft, registered as TC-SLD, TC-SLC, TC-SLE,
and TC-SLF, were delivered from the Boeing facility in Seattle on January 9,
13, 14, and 27, respectively. The last aircraft to join the fleet landed at
Antalya Airport on January 29 after a scheduled stop for refueling. TC-SLF is
scheduled to begin operations in the first week of February.
SunExpress took delivery of five Boeing 737-8 aircraft
in 2025. With the four new aircraft delivered in January, the number of
aircraft added to the fleet from orders has reached 23 to date.
The new Boeing 737-8 aircraft joining the fleet offer
reduced fuel consumption and emissions thanks to advanced engine technology
compared to previous-generation models, while providing passengers with a more
comfortable and environmentally friendly travel experience through a quieter
and modern cabin design.
