Corendon Airlines is expanding its Greek
flight network by announcing new flights on the Warsaw–Heraklion–Warsaw route.
Corendon Airlines has announced the launch of direct
flights from Warsaw to Heraklion, one of Crete's most popular destinations.
During the ITTF Warsaw Tourism Fair held at the Warsaw
Palace of Culture and Science between November 20 and 22, Corendon Airlines
shared a significant expansion of its flight network for the 2026 summer
season. This route is a strategic step that complements Corendon Airlines'
Katowice–Heraklion connection.
Planned to meet the growing interest of Polish travelers
in Mediterranean holiday destinations, the new flights will fly to Heraklion,
the capital of Crete, which stands out as one of Europe's most popular holiday
destinations with its wide beaches, historical riches, and strong accommodation
infrastructure.
Corendon Airlines executives emphasized that Warsaw is
a strategically important market for the company, stating that the new route is
a key part of its steady growth strategy in Poland. The airline noted that it
will continue to develop its existing popular holiday routes and that demand is
increasing every year.
Corendon Airlines Poland Sales Manager Halina
Strzyżewska commented on the new route: "We are delighted to announce our
direct flights to Heraklion. This route strongly complements our flight network
to Greece. It also offers an excellent option for passengers looking to make
the most of their May vacation. Poland remains a strategic market for us. We
plan to establish an operational base in the country by 2027, which will
further strengthen Corendon Airlines' presence in Poland."
With the launch of these new flights, competition is
expected to increase on tourist routes between Poland and Greece. The flights
will be suitable for both package tours organized by tour operators and
passengers planning individual vacations. The Warsaw – Heraklion – Warsaw route
will operate from April 25 to October 31, 2026.
