It has been reported that over 1,700 flights were canceled this weekend in the US due to the government shutdown, which has now lasted 39 days.

The US press announced that airlines canceled over 1,700 flights scheduled between November 7 and November 9, following instructions from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

According to the FAA's latest statement, airlines have canceled a large number of flights by reducing domestic flights from the 40 busiest airports by 4 percent starting yesterday.The FAA announced that if the government shutdown continues, airlines will have to cancel 6 percent of their flights on November 11, 8 percent on November 13, and 10 percent on November 14.
