The Chief of the National Statistics Bureau (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, reports that foreign tourists’ expenditures in Indonesia increased in the second quarter of 2024. Money spent on accommodation demonstrated the most significant increase.

From Bali Discovery, during Q2 of 2024, the average spending by foreign visitors reached US$1,443.70, equivalent to Rp. 23,45 million. This is an increase over the average spend of US$1,429 per visitor per visit recorded in the previous quarter, Q1 2024.
