In France, some flights were canceled in
various cities, especially in the capital Paris, due to the strike by airport
workers.
The French Directorate General of Civil Aviation
(DGAC) asked airline companies to cancel some flights on July 3 and 4 due to
the strike by airport workers. In line with the DGAC's request, 25 percent of
flights were canceled on July 3 at Paris Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Beauvais
airports in the Paris region, 30 percent at Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier,
Ajaccio and Figari airports, and 50 percent at Nice, Bastia and Calvi airports.
On July 4, 40 percent of flights will be canceled at Paris Charles de Gaulle,
Orly and Beauvais airports.
It was stated that traffic control services personnel
organized a strike to draw attention to problems such as working conditions and
lack of personnel.
