In Indonesia, an archipelago country consisting of
about 17 thousand islands, maritime transportation is used as the main
transportation method for many regions. However, accidents frequently occur due
to safety weaknesses in maritime transportation in the country and adverse
weather conditions, especially during the monsoon season.
