A passenger plane crashed in India: 242 passengers on board

It was reported that a passenger plane
carrying 244 people, including 232 passengers and 12 crew members, crashed near
the airport in the city of Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat.

India's Director General of Civil Aviation Faiz Ahmed
Kidwai said 244 people, including 232 passengers and 12 crew members, were on
board the plane that crashed near the airport in Ahmedabad, in the state of
Gujarat, and emergency teams were sent to the region. Kidwai also stated that
the plane, which took off at 13.38 local time, crashed 5 minutes after takeoff.
In a statement made on Air India's social media
account, it was stated that the plane, which crashed near the airport in
Ahmedabad city, was on its way to Gatwick Airport in London, the capital of
England.
