easyJet customers gearing up for the
half-term getaway are set to jet off on over 13,000 flights across Europe
throughout the week-long school break.
Up to half a million holidaymakers will be taking to
the skies on 3,000 easyJet flights this weekend alone.
The airline is set to operate up to 8,000 flights to
and from the UK during half-term as many families make the most of the break to
catch some much-needed winter sun or hit the ski slopes.
Geneva is proving to be the most popular destination
across the network this half-term, providing easy access to the Alps for snow
sports lovers and the airline is offering even more choice from popular ski
airports, with flying the UK to Grenoble up 11% compared to last year.
Meanwhile for sun-seekers, Tenerife and neighbouring
Canary Island Lanzarote are proving to be among the top destinations, with
ever-popular Spanish beach destinations Alicante and Malaga continuing to
attract winter sun holidaymakers.
Ali Gayward, easyJet's UK Country Manager, said: "Every
year customers continue to choose easyJet for our unrivalled network, choice
and great value. With more than 13,000 flights taking off across Europe this
half term to over 120 destinations across Europe and beyond, customers have an
unrivalled choice for a break away in the sun or to hit the slopes, and we look
forward to taking them away for a well-deserved holiday.”
