Here are the strangest requests guests make to hotels

Hotels.com's annual Hotel Room Innsights Report* uncovers interesting stories from more than 400 partner hotels around the world. The latest report reveals the most interesting room orders and hidden hotel perks available to guests today.

“From guitar concierge services to pet healers, hotels are now catering to the unique demands of vacationers, and these services may become routine in the future,” said Melanie Fish, Vice President of Public Relations at Hotels.com. With the Hotels.com app, you can enjoy all of these experiences while earning rewards and enjoying exclusive benefits at VIP Access hotels.”

Gone are the days of ordering ordinary rooms. For the second time, Hotels.com reveals the most interesting room service orders and services.

Among the most surprising requests are the following:

·       A bathtub filled with Évian water so your child can bathe in the purest water

·       Personalized allergen menu for pets: gluten-free, dairy-free, etc.

·       Burnt toast

·       Hot dog with caviar

·       Fresh goat milk

·       2 kg banana

·       “High five” emoji to confirm that the room service order has been read

Hotels are adapting their business processes to these increasingly bizarre demands. The W Osaka, for example, has introduced a 'Whatever/Whenever' button that allows guests to order anything they want at any time. At Hospes Maricel & Spa in Palma de Mallorca, guests can order facials and high-tech beauty services to their rooms.
