The right wing of a Japan Airlines
passenger plane crashed into the tail of a parked Delta Airlines plane at
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in the US.
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced
that the accident occurred at Seattle-Tacoma Airport at 10.40 local time. In
the statement, it was noted that a passenger plane belonging to Japan Airlines
hit the tail of a Delta Airlines plane.
Delta Airlines announced that no one was injured in
the accident and that passengers would be transferred to another flight to
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Japan Airlines, on the other hand, issued an apology
message, stating that no one was injured in the collision and that some flights
to the airport were suspended.
The US Federal Aviation Administration also announced
that some flights to the airport have been suspended and the accident will be
investigated.
