TUI today announces two significant
leadership promotions as part of its ongoing transformation into a Global
Leisure Curated Marketplace.
Phillip Iveson, formerly Commercial Director for
UK&I, has been promoted to the role of Director of Accommodation Product
& Sourcing for Markets + Airline. Phill has led the UK&I commercial
function for 15 months after ten years in group product and purchasing roles.
Phill will be responsible for managing hotelier and tourist board relationships
across all TUI Markets as well as being responsible for product strategy,
executing a highly profitable and competitive product portfolio.
Following Iveson’s move, TUI is delighted to announce
the appointment of Chris Logan as the new Commercial Director for UK&I and
member of the UK Board. He joined TUI in 2009 and has led teams in
distribution, spent two years as Head of Ireland overseeing the successful
rebranding of Falcon Holidays to TUI, and nearly a decade as Managing Director
of Crystal Ski Holidays. Most recently, Logan took on additional
responsibilities for TUI River Cruise.
Neil Swanson Managing Director TUI UK&I said: “I
am really excited for Phill, he’s been a key part of our UK&I business
success, and I have enjoyed working closely with him over the past 15 months. I
wish him all the best in his new role, and we look further to further
collaboration in central role.
“Chris brings a wealth of diverse experience and a
proven track record of success within TUI, making him well placed to lead our
UK and Ireland commercial function. His extensive knowledge of our business,
from distribution to specialist holidays, will be invaluable in this role. I’ve
had the pleasure of working with Chris for many years and am delighted to
welcome him to the UK&I board of directors. I’m confident he will excel in
driving our commercial strategy forward.”
These strategic appointments align with TUI’s
transformation strategy, which focuses on implementing a new operating model
for the core tour operator business, developing a separate unit for Expansion
Businesses, and expanding the commercial function for TUI Airline.
