In November 2024, accommodation providers in Germany recorded 32.3 million overnight stays by domestic and foreign guests.

According to the Federal Statistical Office, German accommodation establishments recorded a 4.8% increase in overnight stays in November 2024 compared to the same month last year. Accommodation providers recorded 32.3 million overnight stays by domestic and foreign guests.

The number of overnight stays by guests from abroad rose by 4.2% to 5.7 million in November 2024 compared to November 2023. The number of overnight stays by domestic guests amounted to 26.6 million, up 4.9% on the same month of the previous year.

In the period from January to November 2024, accommodation providers recorded a total of 465.3 million overnight stays. This means that the number of overnight stays was 1.8% higher than in the same period last year. The previous record figure for the first eleven months of a year, which was 464.7 million overnight stays from January to November 2019 - i.e. before the start of the coronavirus pandemic - was also exceeded by 0.1 %. The number of overnight stays by domestic guests rose by 1.1% to 386.4 million compared to January to November 2023. The number of overnight stays by guests from abroad rose by 5.4% to 78.9 million.
