Seaplane crashes in Australia: 3 dead

In Australia, a seaplane crashed into a
cliff shortly after takeoff. Three people died and four people were injured in
the accident.
Off the coast of Rottnest Island in western Australia,
a seaplane with 7 people on board crashed into the Phillip reef near the
entrance to Thomson Bay shortly after takeoff. It was reported that the
Australian pilot and 2 tourists from Switzerland and Denmark died in the
accident.
Western Australian Prime Minister Roger Cook said in a
statement, “The bodies of the three dead people were recovered by divers from
the wreckage of the plane.”
Cook expressed his sorrow over the accident and stated
that an investigation was launched into the incident.
