This prospect was voiced by Dmitry Vakhrukov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, noting that the BRICS countries aspire to occupy up to 60% of the total volume of the global MICE industry.

According to Mr. Vakhrukov, the ministry is already considering ways to simplify the procedure for issuing electronic visas for tourists coming to Russia for business purposes.

Evgeny Kozlov, Chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee, promised that against the backdrop of growing interest in trips to Russia on the part of business tourists from India, visa preferences for this group of travelers should be expected as early as next year. (ATOR)
