About 63% of Russian tourists will spend the New Year holidays at home. The rest plan to travel, but most are planning to do so after January 1.

According to Rosselhozbank's survey, conducted in early December, more than 2,900 men and women between the ages of 18 and 55 took part.

“63% of respondents said they will spend their holidays at home, while 37% plan to travel. Of those planning to travel, 36% said they will spend New Year's Eve on the road, while 64% will start this trip after January 1.”

77% of Russians are planning their New Year holidays for a standard 11 days. 23% of respondents would like to extend the duration of their vacation. 20% would do this by taking annual leave in January, while 3% would prefer to take leave in December.
