Bentour Reisen, which operates in Germany, Switzerland and Austria as Turkey specialists, celebrated its 20th anniversary with an event in Zurich.

Turkish tour operator Bentour celebrated its 20th anniversary with its third “Summer on the Lake” event this year. More than 120 of the company's best-selling agents, leading partners and special guests attended this special evening.

The guests were welcomed by Bentour's top management at Bürkliplatz in Zurich and embarked on a lake-view cruise aboard the MS Wädenswil. Industry professionals had the opportunity to chat and exchange views throughout the trip.

“WE SHOULD NOT FORGET THAT WE ARE A COMMERCIAL ORGANIZATION”
Kadir Uğur, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bentour Reisen, made a 'welcome' speech to the group of guests and stated that he has 56 years of experience in the tourism sector. “The tourism sector should never forget that we are a commercial organization, not a charity or an association. What moves us forward is not the number of passengers, but the healthy earnings. Especially tour operators, travel agencies and tourism NGOs should emphasize the advantages of organized travel more strongly. Because many customers have not yet fully grasped this concept.”

Speaking about the future of Bentour Reisen, Uğur expressed his wish that the company will continue to grow with a focus on quality. Underlining that it is this philosophy that has made Bentour strong to date, the experienced tourism expert stated that the same strategy will bring success in the future. Emphasizing that employee engagement and the work environment play a central role in this vision, Uğur said that in this context, the new company building in Antalya will have many social areas, including fitness, to provide an employee-friendly environment.
