Generation
Z (born 1997-2012), who grew up in the digital world and changed the entire
industry with their travel habits, is redefining the future of the travel and
hospitality industry. Making up 40% of the global consumer base, this
generation has become an important customer segment for hotel and travel
brands.
“Gen Z is emerging not only as a consumer but also as
a powerful influencer demographic,” says Deniz Can Aral, founder of Zenit
Digital. Aral emphasizes that this generation's demand for personalized and
authentic experiences is radically changing travel marketing and experience
design.
Generation Z expects integrated solutions in every
aspect of technology and makes travel decisions inspired by social media and
digital platforms. Conveniences such as high-speed Wi-Fi, mobile check-in and
payment systems have become a necessity. Sustainability is also an important
criterion for this generation. Aral says that environmentally friendly travel
apps and projects that support local communities attract this generation.
