Due to tensions in the Middle East, Egypt has become a new alternative vacation destination for Russian tourists.

According to a report by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), the conflict between Iran, the U.S., and Israel has shifted Russian tourists’ interest in Middle Eastern vacations toward Egypt, which offers reliable air travel.

While Anex’s booking volume has tripled, Intourist’s sales have increased by 79%, and Russian Express’s by 63%. FUN&SUN estimates a 20% increase, while Space Travel projects an approximate 10% rise. According to Sletat.ru Group, demand for Egypt tours during the summer season has increased by 3.5%.
