Saudi
Arabia is adding another major tourism project to its portfolio. The plan
involves transforming 90 remote islands along the Red Sea into a network of
luxury hotels.
The development, named the Red Sea Project, will span
approximately 28,000 square kilometers.
The region includes a vast archipelago of over 90
islands, featuring untouched beaches, deserts, mountains, and even extinct
volcanoes. Most of the islands will remain untouched, and 75% of the region's
natural environment will be preserved.
The company managing the project stated that they will
create a center based on "sustainability and sustainable tourism"
alongside a series of ultra-luxury hotels.
