Over 5,000 flights canceled in the US due to heavy snowfall

It has been reported that over 5,000 flights have been canceled in the US due to record-breaking snowfall.
The severe snowfall affecting the northeastern states
of the US has negatively impacted transportation. According to statements made
by the US National Weather Service, snow depths reached high levels in the
states of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Snow depth
reached 96 centimeters in Rhode Island, the highest level in the state's
history, while it approached 50 centimeters in New York's Central Park.
Adverse weather conditions caused disruptions in
aviation activities. According to flight tracking data, more than 5,000 flights
were canceled nationwide. It was reported that numerous flights were canceled,
particularly at airports in New York and Boston.
Due to snowfall and strong winds, power outages
affected more than 600,000 homes and businesses on the East Coast. In addition,
restrictions were imposed on driving in some areas affected by adverse weather
conditions, except for emergencies.
