In November 2025, accommodation providers in Germany recorded 32.2 million overnight stays by domestic and foreign guests. According to preliminary results from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), this was 0.2 percent more than in November 2024.

The number of overnight stays by domestic guests rose by 0.1 percent to 26.5 million in November 2025 compared with November 2024. The number of overnight stays by foreign guests grew by 0.4 percent to 5.7 million.

January to November 2025: Number of overnight stays reaches previous year's record level

In the first eleven months of 2025, accommodation providers recorded a total of 465.5 million overnight stays. This is 0.1 percent above the previous record of 465.1 million overnight stays in the same period of the previous year. The number of overnight stays by domestic guests rose by 0.6 percent to 388.4 million in 2025 compared with the same period of the previous year. By contrast, the number of overnight stays by foreign guests fell by 2.2 percent to 77.2 million.
